Kotoko must pay $80,000 for ex-Barcelona academy starlet [Pure FM]
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko must cough up to $80,000 if they are to sign ex-Barcelona offensive midfielder Seth Osei from AshantiGold.
The 22-year-old offensive midfielder has revealed to OB Trice in an interview on Kumasi-based Pure FM that he has told Miners bankroller, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, that his desire is to join Kotoko for the upcoming season.
According to sources Dr. Kwaku values the 6-goal midfielder at $80,000 and is not ready to lower his asking price for the youngster who spent years playing at the Real Valladolid, Real Vallecano, and Barcelona academies in Spain.
Osei, a Techiman-born, joined AshantiGold in February 2021 after leaving Techiman XI Wonders in October 2020.
Meanwhile, the mercurial No.10 has issued an urgent and emotional plea to Asante Kotoko fans to contribute towards his move to the Porcupine Warriors.
He recorded 6 goals and 6 assists in 16 Ghana Premier League games for the Miners last season.
