Former Kotoko attacker levels GHS5000 bribery allegation against Paa Kwesi Fabin [Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV]

Former Asante Kotoko attacker Mohammed Gado has alleged that the former coach of the Porcupine Warriors Paa Kwesi Fabin once asked him to pay money before giving him playing time at the club.

Gado, 37, joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2008 after returning to Ghana from a brief spell with Israeli outfit Maccabi Herzliya F.C.

He tells Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV on YouTube that he was signed to Kotoko by the late Herbert Addo who was later replaced by Fabin at the club.

According to him, Herbert Addo’s departure to Aduana Stars at the start of the 2009 season turned things in a negative way for him.

“When Paa Kwesi [Fabin] took over, he also brought his own set of players like Kabiru Moro, Mutala Mohammed, and the likes. I remember an interview Paa Kwesi granted to the media and fabricated lies that I was injured which wasn’t the case,” he told Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV.

“Later, he approached me and told me to pay him a bribe of GHS5000 but I didn’t pay him anything and told him that I want to leave Kotoko,” he added.
