These are the three players who are suspended for the Ghana vs Nigeria clash

Ghana and Nigeria square off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday in the first-leg of the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Both countries have some key players suspended for this crucial clash and the reverse fixture in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen will not be able to select Everton forward Alex Iwobi for this fixture. The 25-year-old whose maternal uncle is Nigeria great Jay-Jay Okocha was sent off in the 66th minute during the 1-0 loss to Tunisia at the 2021 AFCON.

Ghana also has absentees for this game – skipper Andre Ayew is unavailable due to suspension. The 32-year-old was sent off during the AFCON loss to Comoros while Turkey-based forward Benjamin Tetteh also received his marching orders at the end of the 1-1 draw with Gabon in Cameroon.

Kumasi’s game will be the 50th meeting between the two countries at the senior level.
