The name of Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been on the lips of almost every Ghanaian football fan and in the matter of weeks, the attacker has earned call-ups from three different national teams.
It is clear that the star of the 21-year-old is shining bright and his moment is here.
He was integral member of Ghana’s Black Galaxies side that beat Nigeria to qualify for the 2023 CHAN tournament.
The former Asante Kotoko triallist scored 3 important goals in competitive games for Annor Walker’s side and even got on the score-sheet against the Qatar in an international friendly game in Austria last month.
Just days after the triumphant exploits of the Galaxies and in a matter of hours he has earned two more call-ups.
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has named him in his squad for the FIFA international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua. The 29-man squad which had the attacker was released on Tuesday morning and just in the matter of hours he received another call up from the Ghana U23 head coach Ibrahim Tanko.
Tanko invited 27 players to commence training ahead of the 2023 Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
