Twenty-five Black Stars players trained on Monday evening ahead of the 2021 AFCON Group C decider against Comoros on Tuesday evening, according to Asempa FM’s broadcast journalist Andy Obeng Kwaku.

Ghana must beat tournament debutantes Comoros if they are to progress to the next stage of the 33rd edition of the competition which is the West Africans’ 23rd appearance at the continental showpiece.

Head coach Milovan Rajevac, who has sparked angry reactions back home in Ghana following his pre-match presser, supervised the training session which lasted for a little over an hour.

With Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Kudus Mohammed unlikely to join the campaign in Cameroon, the squad size has been automatically reduced to 27.

But, reports from Garoua say 25 players participated in the last session ahead of the game. Real Mallorca midfielder Baba Iddrisu Mohammed who picked an injury during the 1-1 drawn game with Gabon missed out on the session.

Meanwhile, Real Tamale United midfielder David Abagna Sandan was also unable to train – meaning the squad size has been reduced to 25 automatically.
