Ex-Bayern Munich striker Okyere Kwasi Wriedt scores sublime finish and provides classy assist in Dutch top-flight league

German-born Ghanaian forward Okyere Kwasi Wriedt enhanced his scoring credentials by netting the opening goal and providing the assist for the match-winner for Willem II Tilburg when they squeezed a 2-1 win over FC Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

The 27-year-old raced Willem II into a 5th-minute lead at the Konig Willem II Stadion before he assisted Dries Saddiki for the second goal of the game on the 24th-minute mark.

German midfielder Gorkem Saglam located the Ghanaian in space and he picked up the ball and passed it to Wriedt, who scored hard and low through the legs of the visitors’ goalkeeper.

Wriedt’s performance helped Willem II to book their third win of the season and moved 4th on the Eredivisie table.
