Close to 185 Ghanaian players were in action for their various clubs over the weekend with 15 of them getting on the score-sheet.

Below is a lowdown.

NETHERLANDS

17-year-old forward Ernest Poku came off the bench in the 80th minute to play for AZ Alkmaar in their 1-0 loss to KRC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie.

Feyenoord hammered Willem II 4-0 at their own backyard. Ghanaian striker Okyere Kwasi Wriedt started the game together with Derrick Arthur Kohn for Willem while striker John Yeboah Zamora warmed their bench.

Forward Cody Gakpo was brought on in the 65th minute by PSV Eindhoven for their 2-0 away win over Heracles Almelo.

In the second-tier league Modeste Duku came off the bench in the second half to play for Excelsior when they won 2-1 at Roda JC.

Paul Fosu-Mensah watched from the Helmond Sport bench during the 2-1 home loss to Jong AZ Alkmaar.

Central defender Jamal Amofa played the full 90 minutes for ADO Den Haag when they won 3-1 against FC Volendam.

Right-back Mitch Apau played 83 minutes for Emmen when they lost 1-0 against visiting FC Eindhoven.

GERMANY

FC Koln claimed a 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin. Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng lasted 57 minutes for Berlin.

German-born winger of Ghanaian descent Jamie Leweling climbed off the bench to score the only consolation goal for Greuther Fürth in their 5-1 defeat to Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga.

Mainz 05 posted a 1-0 win over RB Leipzig. Dutch-Ghanaian Brian Brobbey climbed off the bench to cameo in the game for Leipzig.

Former Liberty Professionals player Hans Sarpei Nunoo was introduced in the 58th minute by Greuther Furth in their 5-1 loss to Stuttgart in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Danish-Ghanaian defender Niklas Nartey missed the game with illness.

Union Berlin held Bayer Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Dutch-Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong set up Leverkusen but defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah missed the game due to a knee injury.

Wolfsburg recorded a 1-0 win over newly-promoted VFL Bochum. Ghanaian attacker Christopher Antwi-Adjei played for the losers while midfielder Raman Chibsah was unused by them.

Dortmund defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 at the Signal Iduna Park. Ragnar Ache came off the bench to assist on of the consolation goal for Frankfurt.

In the Bundesliga II Dynamo Dresden defeated Hannover 96 2-0. Ghanaian pair of Agyemang Diawusie and Michael Akoto were in the Dresden team while Patrick Twumasi warmed the bench for the losers. 19-year-old striker Ransford Konigsdorffer Yeboah played for Dresden.

Braydon Manu scored one of the goals for Darmstadt in their 6-1 home win over Ingolstadt. Former Hamburg defender Patric Pfeiffer played 90 minutes for the winners.

Prince Owusu and Kelvin Ofori came off the bench for Paderborn when they mauled Werder Bremen 4-1.

St Pauli defeated Hamburg SV 3-2. Ghanaian Daniel Kofi Kyereh played 90 minutes for Pauli while Hamburg took off Jans Gyamerah after 76 minutes.

Steffen Nkansah was in action for Zwickau in their 1-1 draw with Meppen in the Liga 3.

Former Wolfsburg attacker Anton Leander Donkor played 90 minutes for Mannheim when they drew 1-1 with Wurzburger Kickers.

Richmond Tachie scored a sensational finish for Dortmund II in their 5-2 away win over Freiburg II. Raphael Assibey-Mensah was also in action for the losers.

FRANCE

Defender Alexander Djiku started for Strasbourg in their Ligue 1 game against PSG. Meanwhile striker Majeed Waris started the game from the bench. Djiku was sent off in the 81st minute after picking a second yellow card.

Lateral defender Gideon Mensah started the game for Bordeaux in their away game against Olympique Marseille on Sunday evening. Enock Kwateng also started the game for Bordeaux.

Austrian defender of Ghanaian descent Kelvin Danso who hails from Akyem Old Tafo warmed the bench for Lens in their 2-2 draw with Saint Etienne.

France-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah was involved in Nantes’ 2-0 win over visiting Metz. Ghana attacker Osman Bukari warmed the bench for the winners.

Both Jeremy Doku and Kamaldeen Sulemana started the game for Stade de Rennais who drew 1-1 with Brest.

Newcomers Clermont Foot maintained their 100% start to the campaign by beating visiting Troyes 2-0. Ghanaian duo of Alidu Seidu and Abdul Samed Salis both played the game for the winners.

Myron Boadu played 57 minutes for AS Monaco when they lost 1-0 to Lorient.

In the Ligue 2, Emmanuel Lomotey was yellow carded and played 90 minutes for Amiens in their 2-0 away win over Guingamp.

Emmanuel Ntim was in action for Valenciennes who beat Nancy 1-0 away.

Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench to play for FC Pau when they held Nimes to a 0-0 draw.

ENGLAND

Tariq Lamptey missed Brighton’s 2-1 away win over Burnley with a thigh injury.

Arsenal suffered a 2-0 loss to Brentford on the opening day of the league. Tariqe Fosu failed to make the Brentford squad for the game while Eddie Nketia and Thomas Partey missed the game with injury.

At the Stamford Bridge Chelsea posted a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace. 18-year-old Ghanaian youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi came off the bench to make his Premier League debut while Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew both started the game for Palace.

Mohammed Salifu played in central defence for Southampton who were beaten 3-1 by Everton at the Goodison Park.

Elsewhere at the Daniel Amartey played in central defence as he helped Leicester City to a 1-0 win over Wolves. Kamal Sowah did not make the Leicester squad for the game.

In the Championship Ghanaian forward Kwame Poku watched from the bench for Peterborough who won 2-1 against Derby.

Black Stars defender Andy Yiadom lasted the entire period of the game for Reading when they beat Preston 2-1.

Bournemouth emerged 2-1 victors over Nottingham Forest. Ghanaian defender Osei-Tutu Jordi played 90 minutes for Forest.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Kenny Tete played 90 minutes and helped Fulham to a comprehensive 5-1 win over Huddersfield.

Albert Adomah watched from the QPR bench in their 3-0 away win over Hull City.

In the League One, Ghanaian forward Daniel Agyei watched the entire proceedings from the Oxford bench in their 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.

In the Premier League 2, Forson Omari was in action for 67 minutes for Manchester United U23 side when they drew 2-2 with Leicester City U23.

In the U18 Premier League, Ghanaian kid Kobbie Mainoo was in action for 90 minutes for Manchester United when they lost 3-0 to Manchester City.

Samuel Rak-Sakyi came off the bench to score for Chelsea U18 in their 5-2 win West Brom U18. Derek Abu also played 90 minutes for the young Blues.

Young midfielder Charles Sagoe Junior scored for Arsenal U18 as they defeated Aston Villa U18 5-3.

Rio Kyerematen played full throttle for Tottenham Hotspur in their 4-2 loss to Fulham.

West Ham United posted a 3-1 win over Reading U18. Ghanaian trio of Kelvin Abrefa, Jordan Addo-Antoine and David Nyarko all played for Reading.

AUSTRIA

Black Stars new boy Kelvin Yeboah scored the opening goal for Sturm Graz in their 3-1 away win over LASK Linz.

Seth Painstil was introduced in the 46th minute by Hartberg who were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Ried.

In the second-tier league Forson Amankwah played 89 minutes for Liefering in their 1-1 draw with Amstetten. His former WAFA teammate Daniel Owusu was unused.

BELARUS

Former Ghana U20 forward Francis Narh got on the score-sheet for Slavia Mozyr in their 2-2 draw with Vitebsk on Saturday. Midfielder Dennis Tetteh came off the bench to play for them.

Sulley Muniru came played 19 minutes for FC Minks when they lost 1-0 to Bate Borisov.

Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Sosah was booked in the first-half and played full throttle for Isloch in their 7-1 away loss to Rukh Brest.

CROATIA

Ghanaian duo of Prince Obeng Ampem and Issah Abass were in action for Rijeka when they lost 1-0 at Osijek.

ARMENIA

Four Ghanaian players Benjamin Nana Tachie, Simon Obonde, Christian Agyenim Boateng, and David Quaye were in action for Noravank as they lost 1-0 to Sevan in the Premier League. Gideon Boateng was on the bench for Noravank

BELGIUM

In the Jupiler League KAS Eupen posted a 2-0 win over St Truiden. New Black Stars goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen manned the post for the victors while 19-year-old midfielder Isaac Nuhu came off the bench to play for the winners.

Elisha Owusu missed Gent’s 2-0 win over KV Mechelen due to injury.

19-year-old midfielder Abraham Okyere was a bench warmer for Beerschot VA who are still without a win after 4 games in the league after losing 1-0 to Standard Liege.

Black Stars midfielder Majeed Ashimeru came off the bench in the second half to play for Anderlecht in their 2-1 away win over Cercle Brugge. Francis Amuzu was also introduced in the second half.

Joseph Painstil was not in the Genk side that beat OH Leuven 4-0.

David Atanga came off the bench in the second half to play for KV Oostende who beat newly-promoted Seraing 3-2 with ten men.

Thomas Agyepong was introduced in the second half by Lommel when they lost to Waasland-Beveren.

DENMARK

Jeff Mensah warmed the bench for Viborg in their 2-1 home loss to Randers FC.

Lasso Coulibaly and Maxwell Woledzi were both involved in Nordsjaelland’s 1-0 away win over Brondby.

In the second-tier league Ghana U23 defender Frank Assinki was an unused substitute by Koge in their 3-1 away loss to Nykobing.

Emmanuel Bio watched from the bench as his Amager side suffered a 2-1 home reverse to Jammerbugt.

Abdul Halik Hudu made a brief appearance for Lynby against Hobro as they won 4-1.

EGYPT

Issahaku Yakubu played 90 minutes for Wadi Degla when they drew 0-0 with Al Ittihad.

Ghanaian duo of Kwame Bonsu and Winful Cobbina were in action for Ceramica Cleopatra in their 1-1 draw with Ghazl El Mahallah.

FINLAND

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan played in midfield for 90 minutes for Inter Turku who lost 2-0 at AC Oulu.

Bismark Nana Adjei Boateng played full throttle for KuPS when they posted a 4-0 win over KTP. Ghanaian Thomas Agyiri was also in the losers’ starting XI.

On Friday Ishmael Yartey came off the bench to help FC Haka win 2-0 at Lahti.

ISRAEL

Former Ebusua Dwarfs striker Richard Gadze came off the bench to play 29 minutes for Sakhnin when they lost 3-2 to Kiryat Shmona in the Toto Cup.

Emmanuel Gyasi played 89 minutes for Beitar Jerusalem in their 2-1 defeat to Netanya

LITHUANIA

Divine Naah scored for FK Kauno Zalgiris in their 2-1 win over Hegelmann Litauen

FAROE ISLANDS

Ibrahim Moro and Samudeen Musah were in action for TB Tvoroyri against B36 Torshavn which they lost 2-1.

SPAIN

Defender Joseph Aidoo warmed the bench for Celta de Vigo when they lost 2-1 to Atletico de Madrid.

Midfielder Baba Iddrisu starred in midfield for Real Mallorca in their 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Saturday.

In the second-tier league attacker Samuel Obeng scored for Real Oviedo when they drew 2-2 with Lugo.

ITALY

In the Coppa Italian Ghanaian forward Mase Nana Addo Welbeck warmed the bench for Catanzaro when they lost 3-0 to Verona.

Benevento secured a 2-1 extra-time win over Spal. Former Napoli Primavera player Abdallah Basit warmed the bench for the victors.

Midfielder Alfred Duncan was unused by Fiorentina in their 4-0 win over Cosenza.

Caleb Ekuban was replaced by Goran Pandev as Genoa beat Perugia 3-2.

Emmanuel Gyasi was introduced after 79 minutes by Spezia who beat Pordenone 3-1. Davis Mensah was brought on in the second half by the losers.

PORTUGAL

Emmanuel Hackman came off the bench in the second half to play for Gil Vicente when they won 1-0 away at Portimonense on Sunday.

Ghanaian trio of Richard Ofori, Koffi Kouao and Francis Cann all played for Vizela in their 2-1 win over Tondela.

In the second-tier league Varzim held Academica to a 1-1 draw. Ghanaian midfielder George Ofosu came off the bench to play for Varzim.

Abdul-Aziz Yakubu came off the bench in the 60th minute to play for Rio Ave when they drew 1-1 with Farense.

Paul Ayongo was in action for Academica Viseu when they played against Covilha on Sunday evening.

ROMANIA

Pocket-size midfielder Samuel Asamoah was a full timer for U Craiova 1948 when they drew 0-0 with Chindia Targoviste on Saturday.

Attacker Said Ahmed Said was in action for FC Arges when they won 2-0 against host Sepsi Sf. Gheorghe.

RUSSIA

Black Stars attacker Joel Famayeh scored for Orenburg on Saturday when they beat Velez Moscow 2-1 in the second-tier league.

SLOVAKIA

Former Dreams FC attacker Sharani Zuberu came off the bench to score and snatch a point for Dun. Streda when they drew 1-1 with Senica.

Benson Anang came off the bench to play 11 minutes for Zilina in their 2-1 away loss to Mikulas.

Forward Kelvin Owusu Boateng was in action for Trnava when they beat Z. Moravce-Vrable 2-0.

Ghanaian forward Rahim Ibrahim played for Trencin when they drew 1-1 with Ruzomberok on Friday.

Ghanaian Richmond Owusu watched from the bench Zilina B bench as they lost 3-0 to Trebisov in the second-tier league.

Ghanaian trio of Bright Owusu, Frank Appiah and Ernest Boateng all played for Samorin who lost 2-1 to visiting Rohoznik.

SOUTH AFRICA

Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori was in between the sticks for Orlando Pirates when they lost 2-1 to Swallow in the Cup.

SWEDEN

Halmstad BK held Kalmar to a 1-1 draw. Ghanaian duo of Sadat Karim and Thomas Boakye came off the bench to play for Halmstad while Joseph Baffo missed the game with suspension. Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has been nursing an injury and missed the game.

Midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi missed Mjallby’s 1-0 home loss to Djurgarden due to suspension.

David Accam watched from the stands due to a knock as his Hammarby side were beaten 1-0 visiting Elfsborg.

Defender Samuel Mensah and Patrick Kpozo were in the Ostersunds team that lost 2-1 against Norrkoping.

Malik Abubakari came off the bench to score one of the consolation goals for 10-man Malmo FF when they lost 3-2 to Goteborg.

In the Superettan former Dwarfs midfielder Benjamin Acquah came off the bench to play for Helsingborg when they won 3-0 against Akropolis.

Enock Kwakwa was a bench warmer for Jonkopings who won 2-1 over Osters.

Former Hearts of Oak attacker Kwame Kizito came off the bench on the hour mark to play for Falkenbergs who lost 3-1 against Vasalunds.

SWITZERLAND

In the Swiss Cup Kwadwo Duah scored one of the goals for St Gallen in their 5-0 win over Munsingen. Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi was unused.

Asumah Abubakar scored one of the goals for Lugano when they hammered La Chaux-De-Fonds 7-1.

TURKEY

Joseph Attamah came off the bench in the second half to play for Kayserispor when Altay beat them 3-0.

Neither Isaac Sackey nor Joseph Akomadi was in the Hatayspor team that drew 1-1 with Kasimpasa.

Kwabena Owusu scored to earn a draw for Ankaragucu against Tuzlaspor on Sunday.

USA

Former RtD Academy player Emmanuel Boateng warmed the bench for New England Revolution in their 2-1 away win over Toronto FC.

Former Dreams FC player Leonard Owusu played 90 minutes for Vancouver Whitecaps in their 0-0 draw with SJ Earthquakes.

Emmanuel Twumasi was booked and played 90 minutes for FC Dallas in their 2-0 home loss to  Kansas Sporting City.

Lalas Abubakar scored the opening goal for Colorado Rapids in their 3-1 away win over Houston Dynamo.

Jonathan Mensah was in action for 90 minutes for Columbus Crew in their 1-0 away loss to Chicago Fire. Harrison Afful warmed the bench for Crew. American international of Ghanaian descent Gyasi Zardes started for Crew.

In the USL Championship left-back Isaac Bawa lasted the entire period of the game for LA Galaxy 2 in their 2-1 loss to Oakland Roots.

Elvis Amoh played the first 45 minutes for Rio Grand in their 5-2 loss to Colorado Springs.

Memphis and Birmingham shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Prosper Kasim and Anderson Asiedu played for Birmingham while Francis Atuahene and Dominic Oduro featured for Memphis.

Solomon Asante captained Phoenix Rising to a 1-1 draw against Orange County.

Rashid Tetteh played in a 3-man backline for New Mexico in their 1-1 draw with El Paso.

Michael Yeboah played the last 7 minutes for Las Vegas Lights in their 2-1 loss to Sacramento Republic.

Hope Kodzo Avayevu was replaced after 24 by North Texas when they hammered North Carolina 4-0.

UKRAINE

Raymond Owusu Frimpong came off the bench in the 89th minute to play for FK Zorya Luhansk when they drew 1-1 with Minaj in the Premier League.

Elsewhere former Ghana U17 defender Najeed Yakubu played 90 minutes for Vorskla Poltava when they drew 1-1 with Vere-Rivne.

MALTA

James Arthur was in action for Valletta in the Premier League when they won 2-1 at Hamrun.

CHINA

Striker Emmanuel Boateng failed to make the Dalian Pro squad for their 3-1 away loss to Changchun Yatai.

NORWAY

Ghanaian youngster Salomon Owusu warmed the bench for Odd when they posted a 4-2 win over Haugesund.
