Probable XI: Zimbabwe vs Ghana – Milovan Rajevac expected to make 1 change in Harare duel

Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac is expected to make just one change in his starting XI as the Black Stars go in search of the crucial three points at stake against Zimbabwe in Harare on Tuesday afternoon.

The 67-year-old is expected to keep faith in the majority of his starters for the 3-1 reverse fixture at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium last Saturday.

Swindon Town goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott, who surprisingly got the nod to start ahead of Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Richard Attah, is expected to hold down his place in between the sticks. Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey will continue in his makeshift role as right-back while Baba Rahman will start as left-back ahead of Girondins de Bordeaux defender Gideon Mensah. Meanwhile, Alexander Djiku and Jonathan Mensah will partner in central defence.

Captain Andre Ayew started in a No.8 role in central midfield but the Al Sadd talisman is expected to be pushed into a more advanced role to join the attack. Real Mallorca DM Baba Iddrisu Mohammed will be entrusted to handle the destroying and construction job in midfield while Thomas Partey sits right in front of his to enjoy distribution and flow. This means Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will be dropped to the bench for Iddrisu to come in.

Kudus Mohammed, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Jordan Ayew are all expected to start the game for the Black Stars.

Below is the starting XI

Jojo Wollacott – Daniel Amartey, Baba Rahman, Jonathan Mensah, Alexander Djiku – Baba Iddrisu Mohammed, Thomas Partey, Kudus Mohammed, Andre Ayew – Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jordan Ayew.
