Substitute Osman Bukari employed his blistering pace to pick-pocket the visitors’ defensive to round up the goalkeeper en route to sealing the third goal.
Ghana Sports Online editor El Akyereko runs the rule over the performance of the Black Stars at a somewhat half-full stadium in the Central Region.
Joseph Wollacott – 6/10
He was largely not troubled by the Malagasy attack game mainly. The three saves he made in the game were all routine.
Baba Rahman – 6/10
He was deployed as a wing-back in a 3-5-2 system that worked to perfection for the West Africans.
Denis Odoi – 8/10
Ghana’s opening goal was all down to his pace and vision on the ball as he fed Afena-Gyan who then set up Kudus Mohammed for the opening goal. He protected the ball very well and won an intelligent foul.
Daniel Amartey – 6/10
He didn’t have too many defensive duties to run as the Malagasy had little to offer.

Very mobile and impressive as he defended very well and also added a valve to the Ghana offensive play.
Baba Iddrisu – 6.5/10
He saw to his destroying duties very well in midfield. He even unleashed a powerful effort from the area just after the break. Replaced by Edmund Addo at the 85th-minute mark.
Kudus Mohammed – 7.5/10

Fatawu Issahaku – 6.5/10
He was explosive with pace and brimming with energy. The Sporting CP youngster was on a different level in the early embers of the game. He rasped the side netting with a piercing drive. He was replaced by Osman Bukari on the 76th minute.
Jordan Ayew – 6.5/10
The Crystal Palace forward was quiet in the first half-hour but he announced his presence on the night was a laser pace drive from 30 yards. It took the agility of goalkeeper Razakanirina Rakotohasimbola to deflect the ball to the corner.
Andre Ayew – 6/10
He was fouled inside the box around the 9th minute but the referee strangely awarded a free-kick just outside the box. He was replaced at the 76th-minute mark by Daniel-Kofi Kyereh after an uneventful period in the game.
Felix Afena-Gyan – 7.5/10
Showed quick feet and skill in attack as he created Ghana’s first decent chance in under 1 minute. What appeared to be a legitimate penalty was waved off by the referee. On the 16th minute latched on to a Fatawu well-delivered low pass. But, he saw his effort blocked by the visitors’ defence.
