Chris Hughton has some advantage to be successful with the Black Stars – Fred Pappoe [Asempa FM SportsNite]

Former Ghana FA Vice President Fred Pappoe has passed his verdict on the appointment of Chris Hughton as the head coach of the Black Stars.

Hughton, 64, was named announced as the head coach for the four-time AFCON winners on Sunday evening with George Boateng and Mas-Ud Dramani as his assistants.

The former Tottenham and Newcastle United manager takes over from Otto Addo who left the role in December 2022 following Ghana’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Pappoe has given his opinion on the appointment of the London-born to take charge of the team.

“I’m not God to predict what would happen with him. If you look at his profile. I believe he has got some good experience. He has been around the team for about one year and I think that gives him some advantage,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on the SportsNite show on Accra-based Asempa FM.
