Climbing: Germany’s Yannick Flohé Grabs the number one seed in the men’s boulder final
Yannick Flohé placed first in the ranking with three tops and four zones at the finals of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup in Brixen, Italy.
The competition opened with the men’s Boulder semi-final round.
Twenty (20) climbers took the stage in front of a packed and loud Vertikale Stadium, with the top six advancing to the final: entering the field of play last, Germany’s Yannick Flohé placed first in the ranking with three tops and four zones.
The Narasaki brothers, Meichi and Tomoa, followed in second and third position, respectively – the former with three tops and three zones, the latter with two and four.
Also representing Team Japan, the current leader of the Boulder World Cup Ranking 2021, Ogata Yoshiyuki, finished in fifth place with two tops and three zones.
The field of participants also includes Great Britain’s Maximillian Milne – fourth with two tops and three zones – and first-time finalist Lee Dohyun of South Korea – sixth with two tops and three zones.
