Ex-Kotoko midfield gem Michael Akuffo appeals to Ghana FA consider reducing cost of CAF License B coaching course [Asempa FM SportsNite]

Former Asante Kotoko star midfielder Michael Akuffo has called on the Ghana FA President, Kurt Okraku, to consider reducing the cost of the CAF License B coaching course.

Akuffo, 37, is one of the many young prospects in the West African nation waiting to undergo training to upgrade himself with the knowledge available.

However, the cost involved in the programme has left many ambitious coaches emburdened and, the former Fetteh Feyenoord midfielder who spent six seasons with Kotoko has appealed to the GFA boss and Professor Mintah to consider slashing the fee to enable affordability.

“I would humbly appeal to the Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku and Prof. [Professor Mintah] to consider reducing the cost of the programme for us,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show on Monday night.

He also told Enoch Worlanyo on the SportsNite show that he decided to end his spell at Finnish club FC PoPa otherwise known as FC Porin Palloilijat to achieve his dream of playing for Kotoko.

“Kotoko approached me with an offer and the Feyenoord boss at the time informed me. I didn’t think twice once it was Kotoko because it was my boyhood dream to play for Kotoko. He asked me whether I was sure and I said yes. This is because they had to terminate my impending move back to Finland,” He revealed.
