Samuel Boadu: Hearts of Oak coach explains how his side tactically defeated CI Kamsar
Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has explained how he tactically undid a stubborn CI Kamsar side at the Accra Sports Stadium in the CAF Champions League on Sunday afternoon in Accra.
Substitute Kofi Kordzi curled in an expertly taken free-kick from 20 yards before 19-year-old midfielder Salim Adams unleashed a thunderous drive from similar yards out to nail the coffin of the stubborn Guinean side.
Kamsar gave the Ghanaian double winners a tough time in the first half as they competed for every ball with the Phobians.
However, the home side eventually unraveled their guest with Kofi Kordzi scoring an amazing free-kick before teenager Salim Adams came off the bench to score a cracker in added time.
Boadu explains how he beat Daniel Breard and his side.
“In 1st half, we found it difficult to break through Kamsar’s defence. After recess, I told my boys to play high balls, high pressing because I realized they struggle with jumping. That got them tired then I made changes to get us goals,” he said during the post-match interview.
Hearts have advanced to the next stage of the competition.
