Diamond of Adom TV to lead the Ghanaian delegation to participate in 2022 World Food Championship in Dallas, Texas

A cross section of entrepreneurs from the food industry, caterers, home cooks, and the media from Ghana will be attending the 10th edition of the World Food Championships in Fair Park Dallas, Texas U.S.A. from November 9th to 13th, 2022.

Ms. Sarah Benedicta Kyeraa popularly known as Diamond of Adom TV fame will be leading the nominated Ghanaian delegation scheduled to travel to the USA for the World Food Championships.

During the 5-day event, businesses in the Food and Tourism Industries will gather in one single place to market their products & services, and establish strategic partnerships, presentations, and networking sessions on the exhibition floor. Mrs. Eunice Twumasi of Adom 106.3 FM will also be a part of the nominated media delegation to join the trip.

The purpose of the media’s visit is to cover the competition, interview the world’s best chefs, and also, have a culinary media hands-on-training to enable them to experience and learn new practices through the development of personal and professional competencies at an international level.

Ghana’s partnership will be able to benefit from the Food Sport spur by conducting exclusive qualifiers and creating state-endorsed teams for the event’s annual championship. Plans are underway to make Ghana a food sports nation by 2030. Food and Sporting events are major drivers for tourism.

Team Ghana will be participating in the 11th edition of the competition in the U.S.A. in 2023.

The World Food Championships (WFC) is the culinary Olympics, a food sport competition involving a lot of cash prizes. Champions must win particular events to qualify for a chance to win the ultimate food crown and a share of $300,000 and the final prize of $100,000. The contest is open to amateurs and professionals who must win a qualifying competition before arrival.

Over the course of the event’s history, WFC has awarded more than $2 million in cash and prizes, garnered more than 6.9 billion media impressions, and connected 200+ food brands with food fans, food bloggers, and food contestants.
