Ex-Black Stars striker who rejected an offer from PSG in 2006 advises Afriyie Barnieh on his Hearts of Oak future

Former Black Stars forward Prince Tagoe has used his experience to advise Daniel Afriyie Barnieh as the youngster readies to decide his future.

Barnieh, 21, is set to decide his future as he has a number of European offers on his table.

The attacker’s contract with giants Hearts of Oak is set to run out during the winter.

The Phobians have attempted to convince the 2022 FIFA World Cup Ghana striker to renew his contract with the club.

However with weeks left to the expiration of his existing contract with the club, Tagoe has advised the youngster.

“I rejected an offer from PSG in 2006 to complete a season at Hearts of Oak and I was the top scorer,” Tagoe told Accra-based Angel FM, as quoted by Footballghana.

“I moved to Saudi Arabia for €2m the following year and had good offers from Europe. Afriyie Barnieh shouldn’t rush to leave Hearts of Oak.”

Tagoe, 36, spent the 2004/05 season at Hearts of Oak where he netted 18 league goals to win the Top Scorer Award of the season.
