Accra-based radio station Asempa FM have reported that Christopher Damenyo will not seek re-election as chairman of Asante Kotoko‘s National Circles Council, NCC.
Damenya, who beat Solomon Ofosuware with a landslide win in November 2019 (208 votes to 119), will not be on the ballot paper next year for the election, Enoch Worlanyo has reported on the SportsNite Leaks segment.
Meanwhile, the former International Relations Manager of the club Kwaku Asante has advised him not to re-contest for the seat.
Furthermore, Ashanti Regional NCC chairman Benjamin Obeng Sekyere has reportedly picked up nomination forms to contest for the seat.
It is not yet clear whether Solomon Ofosuware will challenge for the throne once more.
