GPL Week 17 Wrap: Etouga continues scoring form for Kotoko, Hearts blank in Tamale

Cameroonian import, Frank Mbella Etouga was in fine form for Asante Kotoko on Saturday as the league leaders recorded a 3-1 victory over Accra Lions.

Etouga scored all three goals for the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium with the home side conceding from a penalty spot for the second time in their last two games.

Bright Adjei also scored a 25-minutes hat-trick for Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park as they saw off Techiman Eleven Wonders to move to fourth position on the league table.

In the Bono derby, Emmanuel Annor netted for high flying Bechem United as they held Berekum Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at the Berekum Sports Stadium.

In what was Sulley Muntari’s first league start for Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu’s men failed to hit the back of the net as they played out a 0-0 draw with Real Tamale United in Tamale.

The Phobians are without a win in their last two games while RTU have failed to win any of their last three games as well, winning once in their last five.

WAFA failed to beat Karela United at home as the Anyinase-based side walked away with all three points from Sogakope.

After heavy rains in Tarkwa, the game between Medeama and Dreas has been postponed to Monday, February 14 with Legon Cities also playing King Faisal at the El Wak Sports Stadium.
