Black Stars defender crashes out of Conference League in painful fashion
Black Stars defender Abdul Mumin has been dumped out of the UEFA Europa Conference League after his Vitoria Guimaraes side suffered a 3-2 aggregate loss to Hajduk Split.
Although Guimaraes managed a 1-0 win over the Croatian side at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, the victory was not enough to help them progress to the next round of the competition.
Mumin was in action for 90 minutes in the game as his Portuguese side secured the win thanks to an early strike from Brazilian forward Anderson.
He was part of the Ghana squad that played at the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
The center-back is a product of the Right to Dream Academy.
