Benjamin Afutu’s agent denies midfielder has foreign offers [Asempa FM]

Local representative of Ghanaian midfielder Benjamin Afutu, Daniel William Tackie, has insisted there are no offers on the table for the midfielder.

The 25-year-old is out of contract with the Ghanaian double winners and has not agreed to a new deal with the Rainbow club.

Reports are rife that there is an offer in place for the midfielder with Kumasi-based Pure FM reporting that an unnamed Azerbaijan side have a pre-contract agreement with Afutu who netted 5 times in 29 league games for the Phobians.

However during an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM on the Sports Nite Show the local agent insisted that there is no foreign offer on the table for the midfielder.

“We don’t have any offers for him as of now and if we do I’m not sure we will be having this conversation,” he told host of the Sports Nite show on Asempa FM.

Afutu scored 5 league goals in 29 appearances for the Phobians and played an influential role in the double-winning feat of the Phobians.
