Samartex and Gold Stars clash over Karela United defender Kwadwo Addai [Asempa FM SportsNite]
Ghana Premier League sides Samartex and Gold Stars have entered into a transfer tug-of-war over the signature of defender Kwadwo Addai.
Addai, 27, is currently on the books of Karela United however, his contract with the Aiyinase-based side will run out at the end of the season.
The situation has attracted a number of interested parties and Samartex had initially appeared to be the frontrunner to land him when he becomes a free agent in 6 months’ time.
Meanwhile, Bibiani-based Gold Stars have also approached the former Ebusua Dwarfs player and his representatives according to Enoch Worlanyo on the SportsNite Leaks show on Asempa FM.
Addai is currently a member of the Ghana CHAN team that will compete at the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria in January.
