Ghana forward Jordan Ayew strikes sumptuous goal in Crystal Palace pre-season win

Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew struck the second goal for Crystal Palace in their 5-4 victory over Championship side Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

The 30-year-old upped the ante on the 17th-minute mark as he smashed home from close range; the chance came after Nathaniel Clyne was rewarded for his marauding run forwards, his shot pushed out to Ayew by the Millwall’s keeper.

Ayew started the game alongside his Ghanaian compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp who was replaced after the interval same as the latter.

Palace needed an 82nd-minute strike from English-born Ghana Jesuran Rak-Sakyi to seal the win for his side.

Patrick Vieira’s side recently handed a contract extension to Ayew who has been impressive, playing as a winger for the Eagles.
