GFA finally decides where Black Stars will play Nigeria in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Find out! [Asempa FM SportsNite]

Ghana Football Association has insisted that the Black Stars will take on Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier next month.

The Black Stars host the Super Eagles on March 24, 2022, in Ghana in the first-leg of the final round of the qualification series for the Qatar 2022 event.

Weeks ago, the National Sports Authority wrote to the Ghana FA to shift the venue of the game from the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to a different venue due to the Independence Day celebration.

But, the Head of Communications for the Ghana FA Henry Asante Twum has confirmed that the game will come off in Cape Coast.

“We have already communicated Cape Coast Sports Stadium to CAF. There are regulations in football that you need to follow. 90 days to every game you need to confirm your venue. Unfortunately, the time CAF wanted us to confirm the venue government had not contacted us on their activity,” he said.

Ghana will play Nigeria on March 24, 2022 in the first leg.
