NaaNa Blu targets Francophone audience with ‘Cartoon’

Ghanaian artiste NaaNa Blu is exploring other music markets with her latest song ‘Cartoon.’

‘Cartoon’ is a blend of English and French; atypical of most of NaaNa’s songs which are usually in Fantse.

According to her manager Stephen Mensah, the move is to tap into other areas to broaden her fan base.

“You know NaaNa Blu is a French teacher. She actually studied French at the University so we decided to her add some French to English on Cartoon so that people who understand the language can also relate better to it,” he told Joy Entertainment.

The Quophimens Musiq boss added that even though music is a universal language, people are able to connect more to a song when they understand the language in which it is done.

With her unique voice and captivating style, NaaNa Blu lays her vocals beautifully on the song produced by Willis Beatz.

‘Cartoon’ is more than just a fun and upbeat song. The lyrics tell a story of love gone wrong, a cautionary tale about the importance of standing up for oneself in the face of heartbreak.

In the chorus, NaaNa Blu sings, “You think say I be cartoon,” an indication that she is not someone to be taken for granted.
