Hearts attacker Obeng Junior comments about Fatawu Mohammed social media video after win over Nsoatreman

Hearts of Oak attacker Kwadwo Obeng Junior has commended his teammates for their ability to rise above the Fatawu Mohammed interview which generated negative talking points on social media.

The 23-year-old bagged the solitary goal of the game and won the MVP Award as the 21-time league champions claimed their 4th win under new Serbian trainer Slavko Matic.

Fatawu, former captain of the Phobians who has been transfer-listed, granted an interview to a YouTube channel where he made a number of allegations against the club.

The interview went viral and had the potency to disrupt the focus of the rest of the playing body going into the game.

However, Obeng was grateful to his teammates for being able to put the issues behind them and secured the all-important win.

“There were a lot of discussions on social media about the team yesterday but we were able to put all the issues behind us and come in for this all-important win,” he said in the post-match interview.

Hearts have now moved to second place on the league table pending the outcome of Asante Kotoko’s game on Wednesday.
