Black Queens: Forward Sandra Owusu-Ansah bags brace for Subotica in UWCL

Black Queens forward Sandra Owusu-Ansah netted a double for Spartak Subotica in their UEFA Women’s Champions League game on Saturday evening.

Owusu-Ansah, 21, hit the opening goal of the game for Serbian side with a sublime finish in the 21st minute before doubling the advantage for them in the 68th minute.

However despite the heroic performance from the Ghana international which gave Subotica a 2-0 lead with bearly 20 minutes left to secure qualification the Serbians allowed hosts FC Twente to crawl back into the game as they equalised all 3 goals scored by the visitors in the last 10 minutes of the game.

Her Ghanaian compatriot Alice Kusi also featured for Subotica in the game.

It was the former Supreme Ladies forward’s second game for Subotica and she marked it with a brace.
