SHOCKING: Ghanaian football historian Bright Yeboah Taylor reveals why Black Stars qualified over Super Eagles [2022 FIFA World Cup]

Ghanaian football historian Bright Yeboah Taylor revealed before the Black Stars’ clash with the Super Eagles on Tuesday that Ghana had never lost a game on 29th March.

The Black Stars took on the Super Eagles in Abuja in the second leg of the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification series.

Thomas Partey scored for the Ghanaians while defender William Troost-Ekong equalised from the penalty spot for the Super Eagles.

Hours before kick-off, broadcast journalist Bright Yeboah Taylor who has a big reputation for historical analysis revealed on Kumasi-based Pure FM that Ghana had never lost a game on March 29.

“Today is exactly 11 years since Asamoah Gyan scored a late goal to equalise an Andy Carroll strike for the Three Lions in a FIFA International Friendly in Wembley,” he told OB Trice.

The date was 29th March 2011.

He continued: “Again on 29th March 2009 in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Kumasi against Benin, Prince Tagoe scored from a Sulley Muntari assist just 36 seconds after kick-off. That goal became Ghana’s fastest ever goal in the qualification series.”
