Eric Ofori Antwi confirms reaching agreement with Legon Cities, Hearts move off [Service Radio]

Goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has revealed he has reached agreement with Accra-based Legon Cities FC.

The 26-year-old glovesman is still contracted to Ghana Premier League side Medeama but looks set to leave the club.

Antwi, popularly known as Alawa, was strongly linked with a move to Ghanaian champions Hearts of Oak but the deal appeared to have hit the snag.

Cities came in strongly with a bid as head coach Maxwell Konadu set out to convince the former Ghana U20 shot-stopper to move to the capital.

He has confirmed that there is already personal agreement in place with Cities and is waiting for the Royals to reach a fee with the Mauve and Yellows.

“For now I still have contract with Medeama SC and per the football rules , I can have conversations and negotiations with any club. But If Medeama don’t accept the offer I can’t go but as for now i have agreed two year contract with Legon Cities,” he told the Sunyani-based radio station.

Antwi, a former WAFA goalkeeper, joined Medeama in 2017 after leaving Asante Kotoko following a three season spell at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
