Shatta Wale discovered my music career professionally – Michy

Movie actress and musician Diamond Michelle Gbagbonah popularly known as Michy says her ex-boyfriend, Shatta Wale has had a great influence on her music career.

In a conversation with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the singer disclosed that Shatta Wale—who is also her ex-boyfriend, discovered her singing prowess and moulded her professionally when they were together.

“I can say he discovered that part of me of in a more professional way […], but I have always been singing in school and church,” she noted.

Aside from their hit single “Low Tempo”, Michy acknowledged that Shatta Wale also wrote some songs for her while they were lovers.

“Yes, I have some songs written for me by Shatta Wale—and I will release them and give him the credit for writing,” she declared.

Unreleased songs on Michy’s shelf are enough to make up an Extended play (EP), however, she is not planning on going into full-time music anytime soon.

She also described her current relationship with her ex-lover Shatta Wale as “non-existent”, cementing the fact that they are now strangers. When asked whether she was still in touch with the “My Level” singer, she simply replied: “There’s nothing to talk about”.

Michy quadruples as a musician, actor, businesswoman and a law student who is currently on her LLB program. She plans to specialize in Criminal Law after the aforementioned stage.

Diamond Michelle Gbagbonah is a cast in YN Productions’ forthcoming movie “The Men We Love”—and the producer, Yvonne Nelson, described her acting skill as ‘outstanding’.
