Olympics fired Yaw Preko for starting MVP winner Emmanuel Agyemang Badu in league games [Asempa FM SportsNite]

Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics sacked former head coach Yaw Preko for playing Emmanuel Agyemang Badu in league games.

The former Udinese captain has announced his decision to quit the Accra-based side just six months after guiding them to win the GHALCA G8 Competition.

Meanwhile, Olympics had fired Yaw Preko on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, with the Wonder Club just 4 points away from a top-four berth.

According to Badu on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show, the Ghana FA nominee for January 2023 Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month nominee lost his job for playing him in games.

“The decision by the coach to keep me playing cost him his job and this has been confirmed by four members of the technical team,” he told Enoch Worlanyo.

He added: “It is just unfortunate but I have heard that the management of the club has taken certain decisions against me which the coach fought against strongly.”
