This is why Kotoko keeper Danlad Ibrahim is unlikely to make the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim is unlikely to make the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana Sports Online can predict.

With 18 days to the start of the Mundial in Qatar, the Ghana squad for the tournament is yet to be announced by head coach Otto Addo.

Many voices have called for the inclusion of 19-year-old Danlad in the squad following his performance for Kotoko, the Ghana U23, and the Black Galaxies.

The former Ghana U20 keeper has not received any call-up from the German-born since he got into the helm last March.

Belgian-based Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Richard Ofori, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Jojo Wollacott have been the regular goalkeepers who have received call-ups from the Hamburg-born.

Judging by the criteria used by some countries that have already named their squads for the tournament, only three goalkeepers have been named.

Otto Addo is expected to follow the example of the likes of Japan who name three goalkeepers in their 26-man squad for the World Cup.

In the event he decides to name three goalkeepers, it is expected that he would opt for Wollacott, Ofori, Manaf Nurudeen.
