VIDEO: Aspiring lawyer Bismark Oppong Korang says the GFA can still choose to punish XI Wonders player and team manager. Watch why he says that

The Ghana Football Association would be operating within the remits of the law if the football governing body decides to further punish Techiman XI Wonders player Mohammed Amin Adams and team manager Ernest Amo Mensah, according to intelligent law student Bismark Oppong Korang.

The pair have been released on bail after their bail conditions of GHS50,000 and the surety of two persons for each individual was satisfied on Friday morning.

Adams, 23, and Amo Mensah, 43, were arrested at the Accra Stadium last Saturday for allegedly assaulting assistant referee, Jasper Adenyo, during a matchday six Ghana Premier League encounter between Techiman Eleven Wonders and newly-promoted Accra Lions.

Though the player and official have been released on bail, they are to reappear before the Amasaman District Court on December 20, 2021.

While a section of the football public is of the opinion that any further punishment from the GFA according to the association’s code of conduction and disciplinary code would amount to a case of double jeopardy, young aspiring lawyer Bismark Oppong Korang has explained that the football regulatory body of the West African nation can still go ahead and punish the two individuals and it won’t be arbitrary.
