Asante Kotoko maintained their perfect start to the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League with a 1-0 crucial away win over Gold Stars at Bibiani on Friday.

Teen forward Isaac Oppong scored the game’s only in the 55th minute with an impressive finish.

With defender Abdul Ismail Ganiyu missing in action due his international commitment with the Black Stars, Andrew Kwadwo Apau stepped up to partner Maxwell Agyemang in central defence.

Gold Stars featured former Liberty Professionals defender Michael Enu while former Aduana Stars defender Charles Gyamfi also started the game.

Both sides created chances especially in the first half but none could score until Oppong netted the only goal of the game for the Porcupine Warriors.
