2021 AFCON: Ghana left with 20 outfield players for Comoros crucial decider

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has had his squad size reduced to 24 for multiple reasons and will have 20 outfield players to select from for the crucial Group C decider against Comoros on Tuesday evening.

Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Kudus Mohammed is unavailable for the tournament as the Eredivisie champions have failed to release the injured midfielder who has not played competitive football since November 2021.

Meanwhile, the CAF Disciplinary Committee has slapped a 3-game ban on striker Benjamin Tetteh following a touchline bust-up which saw him throw a cross-punch that landed on the face of a Gabonese player after the final whistle o Friday.

The Ghana camp also has two injury situations with midfielders David Abagna ad Baba Iddrisu Mohammed both suffering various degrees of injury.

Ghana announced a squad of 28 for the tournament which includes 4 goalkeepers but as things stand now, Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac has just 20 outfield players left.

Meanwhile, only 25 players trained on Monday evening at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium in Garoua.
