2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup: Thailand 3-2 Tajikistan – Worasak Srirangpirot’s last-gasp effort seals semi-final spot for Thailand’s Small Table

Worasak Srirangpirot left it late to strike the match-winning goal for Thailand as they recorded a 3-2 victory over tournament surprise package Tajikistan at the Saad Al Abdullah Hall in Kuwait on Tuesday evening.

Worasak grabbed the winner with some few seconds left to go on the stadium clock.

However, it was Panut Kittipanuwong who drew first blood for Thailand when he slit the ball through the legs of Firuz Bozmamadov who was in the post for Tajikistan.

Forward Jetsada Chudech was on his way to double the lead for Thailand when Ali Akhmedov Nekruz pulled his jersey to obstruct his movement. The puffy-hair player was booked for the offense.

Rustam Hamidov drew an inspiring save out of Katawut Hankampa who dived to his right to parry the ball to safety.

First-period substitute Dilshod Salomov blasted a low shot that run across the face of the goal as Tajikistan continued their push for the equaliser.

Tanatip Sangsung came close to scoring the second goal for Thailand however his effort was palmed away by the Tajikistan keeper.

After a series of attacks from Tajikistan, they dully got the equaliser which came from the shoes of Vositzoda Iqbal who slid to connect home a low cross from the right.

Warut Wangsama-Aeo went into the referee’s pocket in the 32nd minute for deliberately tucking his man down.

Tajikistan dully took inside the 34th minute when No.6 Idris Yorov controlled the ball into an empty net. However, the lead would only last for a minute as Jetsada Chudech restored parity for the Thais.

Forward Worasak Srirangpirot left it late to snatch the match winner for Thailand who survived a late scare.
