2022 FIFA World Cup: Cristiano Ronaldo speaks ahead of Ghana clash. Find out what he said

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken ahead of their Group H game against Ghana’s Black Stars in the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon.

The Black Stars go into the game with hopes flying high in the West African nation with the team’s last warm-up game against Switzerland raising expectations of fans.

Portugal, 2006 semi-finalists, face Ghana for the second time in the history of the World Cup after edging the four-time African champions 2-1 in Brazil in 2014.

Ahead of the big kickoff on Thursday, Ronaldo has taken to his Facebook page to send a strong signal of intent.

“About to start our campaign in the biggest competition in the World. An adventure that we hope to be long and full of successes, in order to raise the name and flag of our country very high. We want to fill all Portuguese with pride and joy. There are no impossibles! Come on, Portugal,” he wrote.

Ronaldo has recently parted ways with Manchester United after the English club announced a mutual termination of his contract due to the content of an interview the former Real Madrid player granted to Piers Morgan.
