Andre Ayew picks Jordan Ayew as his MVP in Ghana’s 1-0 triumph over South Africa

Ghana captain Andre Ayew has selected Jordan Ayew as his Most Valuable Player in the Black Stars’ hard-fought victory over Bafana Bafana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The 29-year-old lasted the entire period of the game for Milovan Rajevac’s men when they squeezed out a 1-0 win to finish top of Group G.

Though the Crystal Palace forward missed a great chance to register an opening goal for Ghana in the early stages of the first half his elder brother Andre believes his output and total contribution to the game were impressive.

“Jordan was unbelievable in the game. Am I the only one who saw him to be Man of the Match? If we had two Jordans on the pitch, things would have been different,” he said in the post-match interview.

Andre scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot as the Black Stars finished top of Group G ahead of South Africa.
