Hearts of Oak midfielder talisman Salifu Ibrahim has been named the Ghana Premier League’s Player of the Month of May.
Salifu, 21 and popular known by fans as Angel di Maria, beat off competition from Aduana Stars attacker Sam Adams and Asante Kotoko defender Abdul Ismail Ganiyu to scoop the top award sponsored by NASCO Electronics.
The former Techiman Eleven Wonders midfielder will receive a NASCO Television set and a personalized trophy.
He won two MVP Awards in the month of May after excelling in games for the Phobians in the top-flight.
Salifu won five Man of the Match awards while at Eleven Wonders during the first round of the season.
He joined Hearts of Oak during the Ghanaian second window registration.
