CAF Women’s Champions League: Ampem Darkoaa whip Burkinabe opposition in Ivory Coast

Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoaa started their CAF Women’s Champions League campaign by dismissing Burkina Faso opponents USFA 3-0 in their opening game in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Elizabeth Owusu jetted off the Techiman-based side to a flying start after smashing the home from close range.

The 2021/22 double-winners continued their impressive display to double the lead in the 40th minute after a low cross from Constance Serwaa deflected off a defender into her own net.

Young offensive midfielder Mavis Owusu sealed their victory with her strike in the 88th minute of the game to keep their hopes of securing a ticket to the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
