Ghanaian players were in fine shape abroad ahead of the international break with former Hearts of Oak attacker Kwame Kizito scoring a brace in Sweden.

There were two other players who registered brace for their clubs as well as five players providing assists.

Below a comprehensive wrap up of how the players performed ahead of the international break.

ENGLAND

Injured Thomas Partey watched Arsenal’s 5-0 humiliation at Manchester City from the screens.

Brentford held Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon. There was no place in the Brentford squad for Tariq Fosu.

Defender Salisu Mohammed starred in central defence for Southampton when they held Newcastle United to a 2-2 draw.

Daniel Amartey played 90 minutes in defence for Leicester City in their 2-1 away win over Norwich City.

Crystal Palace held West Ham United to a 2-2 draw at the London Olympic Stadium. Jordan Ayew started the game for the Eagles and played 90 minutes while Jeffrey Schlupp came off the bench in the 88th minute for Palace. Youngster Jesuran Rak-Sakyi warmed the bench.

Attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi watched from the Chelsea bench in their 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Saturday.

In the Championship, Denis Odoi played 90 minutes in right-back for Fulham in their 3-0 win over Stoke City.

Huddersfield hammered Reading 4-0. Ghana defender Andy Kyere Yiadom was booked in the 23rd minute but Baba Rahman was not in the Reading squad for the game.

QPR beat Coventry City 2-0. Winger Albert Adomah warmed the bench for QPR.

Attacker Daniel Agyei warmed the bench for Oxford in their 3-1 win over Lincoln.

In the League Two, Ghanaian attacker Kwesi Appiah came off the bench to play for Crawley in their 0-0 draw with Northampton.

Crystal Palace U23 posted a 3-0 win over Everton U23 in the Premier League 2. English-born Ghanaian youngster Jesuran Rak-Sakyi scored the opening goal for Palace while Malachi Boateng also played 90 minutes for them.

Aston Villa U23 drew 1-1 with Fulham U23 at the Bodymoor Heath Training Ground. Ghanaian defender Paul Appiah played 90 minutes for Villa while attacker Terry Ablade was also in action for Fulham.

Defender Kwaku Oduroh came off the bench to play for Manchester City U23 in their 4-2 win over Manchester United U23.

Reading U23 held Stoke City U23 to a 1-1 draw on Sunday. Ghanaian Lynford Sackey started the game for Reading while David Nyarko sat on their bench.

Midfielder Keenan Appiah Forson was in action for West Ham United U23 as they defeated Chelsea U23 2-1 on Sunday.

In the U18 Premier League, Samuel Jesuran Rak-Sakyi played 87 minutes for Chelsea in their 3-1 away win over Norwich City.

Leicester City beat Reading 2-1. Ghanaian youngster Kelvin Abrefa scored the consolation goal for Reading while Jordan Antoine-Addo and David Nyarko played for Reading.

Kobbie Mainoo got on target for Manchester United in their 3-0 away win over Leeds United.

Midfielder Rio Kyeremateng assisted one of the goals for Tottenham Hotspur in their 3-2 loss at Birmingham City.

Charles Sagoe Junior played 67 minutes for Arsenal in their 2-2 draw with Brighton.

SPAIN

Real Mallorca posted a slender 1-0 win over 10-man Espanyol on Friday. Ghana midfielder Mohammed Baba Iddrisu played 90 minutes for the victors.

Inaki Williams hit the back of the net to propel Athletic Bilbao to a 1-0 win at Celta de Vigo. His younger brother Nico Williams was introduced on the 67th minute mark while defender Joseph Aidoo lasted 80 minutes for the vanquished.

Samuel Obeng played 88 minutes for Real Oviedo in their 0-0 draw with Tenerife.

English-born Arvin Appiah was named on the Almeria bench during their clash with Amorebieta on Sunday.

In the third-tier league, Philip Osei came off the bench to play for Rayo Majadahonda when they defeated Leonesa 2-0.

FRANCE

Attacker Myron Boadu was unused by AS Monaco when they won 2-1 against Troyes.

10-man Stade de Rennais were beaten 1-0 at Angers. Ghanaian attacking midfielder Kamaldeen Sulemana was replaced at half-time by Eduardo Camavinga.

New-boys Clermont Foot staged a strong second-half performance to draw 2-2 with Metz. Seidu Alidu was named on the bench of Clermont but his compatriot Salis Abdul Samed didn’t make the squad for the game.

Defender Alexander Djiku returned from suspension to start for Strasbourg in their 3-1 win over Angers. Majeed Waris warmed the bench for the victors.

Austrian international who hails from Akyem Old Tafo Kevin Danso played in central defence for Lens in their 2-2 draw with Lorient on Sunday.

Olympique Lyon secured their first win of the season after beating Nantes 1-0 with 10 men. Ghanaian pair of Osman Bukari and Dennis Appiah started the game for Nantes but Appiah suffered an injury and was replaced on the 40th minute while Bukari was substituted after 70 minutes.

OGC Nice hammered Bordeaux 4-0 at the Allianz Riviera. Ghana defender Gideon Mensah was replaced at half-time while Enock Kwateng played 90 minutes for the losers.

Toulouse defeated Valenciennes 1-0. Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Ntim played in central defence for the losers.

Attacker Ebenezer Assifuah scored the opener for FC Pau and was subbed on the 74th minute in their 2-0 win over Dijon.

Midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey missed Amiens 0-0 draw with Niort due to suspension. Defender Nicholas Opoku is nursing an injury.

In the National League, 30-year-old forward Jeffrey Quarshie scored for Bourg en Bresse when they beat Avranches 3-0 on Friday.

GERMANY

Defender Adams Kasim Nuhu watched from the TSG Hoffenheim bench as Borussia Dortmund beat them 3-2 on Friday.

Kevin-Prince Boateng missed Herthan Berlin’s 5-0 battering at Bayern Munich due to a back injury.

Former Liberty Professionals player Hans Sarpei Nunoo was a full-time for Greuther Furth in their 3-0 away loss to Main 05. Gideon Jung didn’t make the Furth squad for the game.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei came off the bench to assist the consolation goal for Bochum when they lost 2-1 to FC Koln. Midfielder Raman Chibsah was unused in the game.

Former Manchester City defender Jeremie Frimpong impressed at right-back for Bayer Leverkusen who hammered Augsburg 4-1 on Saturday. His Ghanaian compatriot Timothy Fosu-Mensah missed the game with injury.

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh assisted the second goal for St Pauli in their 2-0 win over Regensburg on Sunday.

German-born Jans Gyamerah played in defence for Hamburg who drew 0-0 with Heidenheim.

Dynamo Dresden succumbed to a 3-0 home to Paderborn. Ghanaian duo of Michael Akoto and Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer started the game for Dresden while Agyemang Diawusie was unused. Patric Pfeiffer and Braydon Manu were in action for Darmstadt who beat Hannover 96 4-0. Ghanaian attacker Patrick Twumasi warmed the bench for the losers.

Viktoria Koln posted a 3-1 victory over Freiburg II. Ghanaian youngster Raphael Assibey-Mensah came off the bench to play for Freiburg II.

Midfielder Aaron Opoku lasted 89 minutes for VfL Osnabruck in their 3-0 away win over Turkgucu Munchen.

Richmond Tachie assisted the second goal for Dortmund II and lasted 74 minutes in their 4-1 victory over Duisburg.

Midfielder Alfred Duncan came off the bench in the 62nd minute to play for Fiorentina in their 2-1 victory over Torino on Saturday.

Claud Adjapong warmed the Reggina bench in their 3-2 win over Ternana.

Parma beat Benevento 1-0 and Ghanaian youngster Abdallah Basit warmed their bench.

In the Serie C, Joseph Ekuban and Elimelech Enyan were in action for Virtus Francavilla when they lost 3-1 to Catanzaro. On the bench for the winners was Ghanaian Mase Nana Addo Welbeck.

Shaka Mawuli Eklu played 27 minutes for Lucchese in their precious 1-0 away win over Imolese.

Palermo defeated Latina 2-0. Ghanaian Nelson Atiagli came off the bench to play for the losers while Moses Odjer was introduced in the second-half by Palermo.

In the Primavera League, Ghanaian youngster Ebenezer Annan played for Bologna U19 when they lost 2-1 to Napoli U19.

Derrick Gyimah started the game for Torino U19 in their 4-0 home drubbing against AS Roma U19. Berekum-born Felix Afena-Gyan played 90 minutes for Roma U19.

Ghanaian youth striker Enoch Owusu played 72 minutes for Inter Milan U19 in their 3-2 win over Atalanta U19.

NETHERLANDS

Ghanaian trio of Derrick Kohn, Leeroy Owusu and Okyere Kwasi Wriedt were all involved in Willem II Tilburg’s 1-0 home win over PEC Zwolle. But, John Yeboah Zamora was excluded from the team.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Cody Gakpo scored once and registered a brace of assists for PSV Eindhoven when they trounced Groningen 5-2.

Youngster Ernest Poku watched the entire action from the AZ Alkmaar bench when they won 3-1 at Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.

Brian Brobbey was introduced in the 86th minute RB Leipzig who slipped to a 1-0 loss at Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Kudus Mohammed watched Ajax Amsterdam’s 5-0 win over Vitesse Arnhem from the stands.

In the second-tier league, youngster Immanuel Bonsu came off the bench with 8 minutes to go to play for Jong Utrecht when they posted a 3-0 win over Telstar.

Meanwhile France-born Modeste Duku came off the bench to play Excelsior Rotterdam to beat Jong Ajax 2-1.

Paul Fosu-Mensah watched from the Helmond Sport bench during their 1-0 win over Jong PSV.

De Graaschap won 2-0 at Emmen. Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau was replaced after 32 minutes due to injury while forward Johnathan Opoku assisted the second goal for the winners.

Ghanaian midfielder Reuben Acquah watched from the Teuta bench in their 3-0 Super Cup final win over Vllaznia.

BELGIUM

Former Ghana U20 midfielder David Atanga played 15 minutes for KV Oostende who lost 2-0 to Zulte-Waregem.

KRC Genk squeezed a 1-0 results against giants Anderlecht. Ghanaian duo of Francis Amuzu and Majeed Ashimeru both played for Anderlecht but Joseph Paintsil was excluded from the Genk squad.

KAS Eupen recorded their first loss of the season after slipping to a 2-1 home loss against new boys Seraing. Ghana goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen manned the post for the home side while Isaac Nuhu came off the bench in the second half to play for them. Defender Emmanuel Adjei-Sowah missed the game with injury.

Eric Ocansey warmed the Kortrijk bench in their 2-2 draw with KV Mechelen on Friday evening.

UKRAINE

In the Premier League, Ghana Ernest Antwi was in action for Lviv when they lost 1-0 against Rukh Lviv on Sunday.

Raymond Owusu Frimpong came off the bench to score the match winner for FK Zorya when they won 1-0 against Vorskla Poltava who had former Ghana U17 defender Najeed Yakubu in action.
