Nigeria head coach Augustine Eguavoen once played as a defender against the Black Stars in the month of March.

Eguavoen, 56, was capped 49 times by the Super Eagles and scored once.

During a FIFA international friendly on March 9, 1994, the then 28-year-old defender was in action for 90 minutes as the two sides shared the spoils in a 0-0 drawn game in Lagos.

40,000 spectators watched the game in Lagos.
