EXCLUSIVE: These two players leave Black Stars camp ahead of Angola second leg clash

Black Stars coach Chris Hughton would be without two key players ahead of tomorrow’s 2023 AFCON qualifying second-leg tie against Angola in Luanda.

Captain Andre Ayew sustained an injury during the warm-up session of the first leg game in Kumasi and has been ruled out of the game.

France-based central defender Alexander Djiku also picked up a knock on the 87th-minute mark and had to be replaced by Celta de Vigo’s Joseph Aidoo.

As a result, the two players have been granted permission to leave the team’s camp and return to their respective clubs.

The situation leaves the number of players in the Ghana camp to 23 after Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey failed to report to camp due to an injury.

Ghana go into the game with a slender 1-0 win over the Southern African side after Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo scored a 96th-minute winner for the four-time AFCON winners.
