Former Chelsea defender Richard Nartey scores for Burnley

English-born Ghanaian defender Richard Nartey got on the score-sheet for Burnley as he scored the opener in their Premier League 2 game with Sunderland on Monday.

Nartey, 22, powered the Clarets into a 28th minute lead at the Leyland County Grounds in a tightly contested game.

The former Chelsea academy defender remained a pillar at the backline for Burnley who despite their strong start allowed Sunderland to crawl into the game.
