George Afriyie and Japanese partners support Japanese midfielder Jindo Morishita in Mantse derby
Former Ghana FA Vice President George Afriyie was in the company of two high-profile Japanese businessmen at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday evening to watch the Mantse Derby between Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak.
Although much is not known about the purpose of attending the former CAF AFCON Marketing Committee member, played an important role in Jindo Morishita‘s move to the Wonder Club.
A number of Japanese citizens were seen at the Accra Sports Stadium to offer support to the former Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder who was named among the substitutes for the game.
Olympics claimed a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak after Samuel Ashie-Quaye scored a 52nd-minute penalty for Bismark Kobbie Mensah’s side.
