Ghana starlet Felix Afena-Gyan scores brace to power AS Roma to victory in Serie A

Ghanaian teen sensation Felix Afena-Gyan climbed off the bench to score two late goals to propel AS Roma to victory over Genoa in the Serie on Sunday night.

The 18-year-old had been just 8 minutes on the field after replacing Eldor Shomurodov on 74 minutes and he brilliantly side-footed an effort to the far left to register the opening goal for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Meanwhile, on the 4th minute of stoppage-time, he netted the insurance goal for I Giallorossi as he translated his impressive form for the Primavera side into the first-team squad.

Gyan, born in Sunyani, was included in the Ghana squad to face Ethiopia and South Africa in the final lapse of matches in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, but the Italian giants blocked the invitation.
