Hearts need two more wins to lift 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title. Click to find out why

Hearts of Oak will be declared champions of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title if the Phobians win of two of their last three games in the league.

Hearts overcame Kotoko on Sunday to open a 3-point lead at the top of the table.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored the only goal of the game on the 65th minute mark.

With third-placed Great Olympics sitting 49 points the Wonder Club are 10 points away from the Phobians which means if Hearts win one game more it would be impossible for them to overtake Hearts.

To catch up with Hearts at the top of the Kotoko must all remaining matches and hope Hearts drop four points or even more.

But, if Hearts of Oak win any of their remaining last two games they have mathematically won the league title because that will leave just three points available for Kotoko to use to be at par with them.

With the current situation even if the Porcupine Warriors manage to crawl back on points terms with the Phobians the leaders have better head to head over them.

Hearts drew 0-0 with Kotoko in the first round of the league and defeated 1-0 in the reverse fixture which has made them better than Kotoko on head to head.
