Hearts of Oak have now rescued Ghanaian clubs against Guinean oppositions in CAF interclub competition knockout clashes.
Substitutes Kofi Kordzi and Salim Adams scored the goals for the Phobians as they edged Kamsar 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Going into the game Ghanaian clubs had met Guinean opposition 9 times in CAF inter-club knock-out competitions and 3 times in WAFU inter-club competitions. Out of the 9 meetings Guinean clubs have been successful 5 times against 4 of the Ghanaians. All 4 successes of Ghana have been chalked by Hearts of Oak.
After Sunday’s success, Hearts of Oak have helped Ghanaian clubs to grab a share of the spoils. Now Ghanaian clubs and Guinean clubs have now recorded 5 wins apiece in knockout games.
