Hearts of Oak’s Salifu Ibrahim voted Ghana Premier League Player of the season

Hearts of Oak talisman Salifu Ibrahim has been named the Ghana Premier League Player of the Season at the awards ceremony held on Monday.

The 21-year-old beat off competition from his teammates Gladson Awako and Benjamin Afutu to claim the coveted prize.

WAFA playmaker Augustine Boakye was also in the race to win the top award but Salifu’s influence for the Phobians in the season that helped them claim doubel helped them to win the top award.

Monday night’s award becomes the second award the former Techiman XI Wonders star-man has won this season after he won the Ghana Football Awards Player of the Season Award last month.

He is expected to play a key role in Hearts of Oak’s CAF Champions League campaign.
