Hearts transfer $11,539 to Medeama to close case on Samuel Boadu & assistant Hamza Obeng

Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have settled Medeama SC for the indemnity payment imposed of their head coach Samuel Boadu and his assistant Hamza Obeng.

The Phobians have transferred GHS67,500 – an equivalent of $11,539 to the Tarkwa-based club for fines imposed on the two coaches for breaching their Medeama contracts.

The Ghana Football Association’s Status Committee asked Samuel Boadu to pay GHS30,000 to Medeama while assistant Hamza Obeng was also asked to pay an amount of GHS37,500 to the Mauves and Yellow for breaching their various contracts.

Boadu insisted he would appeal the Status Committee’s verdict at the Appeals Committee but Hearts seem to have put the matter to bed by paying the amount.

It is unknown what could become of Medeama who openly indicated that they would appeal the verdict in a bid to squeeze more money from the two coaches.
