Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto condemns midfielder on radio – Nhyira FM
Asante Kotoko head coach Mariano Barreto has questioned the conduct of midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila.
The Portuguese trainer is unhappy with the conduct of the 24-year-old midfielder.
Reports from Kumasi suggest the former AshantiGold midfielder has requested for his contract to be terminated amid unstable relationship with the head coach.
Last week Pure FM reported the midfielder was sacked from training by the head for failing to show up for the club’s trip to Bechem.
After hearing of the player’s decision to request for termination of his contract the former Ghana U23 head coach has questioned the conduct of the player especially breaching the club’s conflict resolution structures.
“At Kotoko we have our internal conflict resolution structures, if you are a player and you’re not happy about something you first come to me the coach, if not resolved you proceed to the team manager and then to the management and probably the board but you do not go straight to the media. That was wrong on Latif Anabila’s part in getting his issues resolved,” he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
Kotoko sign Anabila on free transfer after the former New Edubiase United midfielder left AshantiGold.
