Medeama in trouble as Dreams FC enter race to sign target coach for vacant head coach post [Asempa FM SportsNite Leaks]

Medeama SC will now have to fend off competition from Dreams FC to sign Bismark Kobi Mensah as head coach of the Mauve and Yellows.

According to Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite Leaks, the Dawu-based club have initiated subtly discussions with the 39-year-old who has reportedly parted way with Karela United almost a fortnight ago.

Ghana Sports Online reported yesterday that the Tarkwa-based club had moved quickly to contact the enterprising tactician to take charge at the Akoon Park.

David Duncan, a former Ghana assistant coach during C.K Akonnor’s reign, was appointed in September 2022 on a one-year deal but he left the Tarkwa-based club on Thursday.

However, per fresh reports, Dreams have also entered into the picture and would explore the option of landing Mensah to replace Ignatius Osei-Fosu as head coach at the club.

Ghana Sports Online understands that he has agreed in principle to join the former MTN FA Cup winners in February when the CHAN tournament ends in Algeria.

In the interim, Medeama have installed assistant coach Umar Rabi to take charge of the club’s upcoming games in the league.
